| Paola was
born in Follonica on the Tuscan coast of Italy. Like most Italians, she
began cooking in her mother's kitchen. She earned her diploma in
teaching home economics. Paola came to Houston in 1982 after spending
15 years in Canada. Paola returns to Italy every year to visit friends
and family and explore the latest food trends. She always comes back
with new ideas. One year
she included a week studying with Celestino Giacomello, the executive chef
at Venice's five-star Hotel Gritti Palace in her annual trip.
Paola is also available as a personal chef for lunches and dinners.
